The expansion project for the PTE Multifunctional Center in Olbia stands out for its meticulous engineering approach, aimed at synergistic integration between existing structures and new metalwork solutions.
For this first functional lot, Enerbuilding worked on enhancing the reinforced concrete pillars already present on site, using them as a solid foundation for the new elevation.
The critical joint between the concrete and steel was resolved through the use of robust, custom-designed plates installed on top of the existing columns to accommodate the large lattice trusses with millimetric precision.
This technical choice not only allowed us to optimize the available structural resources, but also guaranteed linear load transmission and superior seismic stability, essential for a building of this importance.
Thanks to the metal framework and the installation of corrugated sheet metal floors, the center acquires large and versatile volumes, free from superfluous internal clutter.
