
The project at the Teatro Ideal in Brescia involved the construction of a complex metal entrance canopy, designed with a multi-slope geometry to optimize rainwater drainage. The load-bearing structure consists of a series of hot-formed steel portals, whose upper beams feature variable inclinations that converge toward intermediate collection channels.
This complex spatial configuration is made possible by a substructure of stringers and transverse profiles that follow the different ridge and valley lines, creating a faceted surface ready for the installation of the final roofing. The images highlight the precision of the welds and bolted connections required to accommodate the changes in inclination of the structural nodes, while ensuring the rigidity of the entire system. Beyond its technical value, the choice of multi-slope gives the roof a dynamic architectural profile that complements the prestige of the theater, ensuring effective protection of the access area through a refined and durable industrial design.
